Palliative care is about improving the quality of life of anyone facing a life – threatening condition. It includes physical, emotional and spiritual care.
The main goal of palliative care in the home is to improve the quality of the remaining life for our clients. Receiving care in their own home can be comforting, convenient and reduce stress. It allows clients to stay where they feel most comfortable and safe, sleep in their own bed and have their own things around them. It allows them to see their family, friends, neighbours and perhaps their beloved pets.
Our experienced carers liaise with other professionals involved in the clients care to ensure they are as comfortable as possible.
Our carers treat the client with dignity, compassion and respect in their final moments. The aim is to ensure their remaining time is as comfortable as possible wherever they want to be, surrounded by their loved ones.
