My mum (aged 91 years) moved to Poynton to live near me in a retirement apartment in 2018. She is in good physical health but has early onset dementia (which she refuses to acknowledge) but is fearlessly independent, and is not very sociable. Although she wouldn’t admit it, she needed help when I was away.
Able living stepped in to take her shopping twice a week so she didn’t run out of food ( on the pretext that they carried the heavy stuff), and were there to remind her why I wasn’t there, and to stay for a cup of tea afterwards. It has helped me enormously to cope.
My neighbour also has Able living every day to help with her personal care to enable her to live independently in her own home. They are very flexible and understand all aspects of individual care and support needs.
