“As a family, we have benefited enormously from the support provided. Our mum was initially very unsure about having help at home, and with dementia it can be difficult to get consistent feedback from her. However, it’s clear from the care notes and our own limited interactions with the carers that she is really benefiting from the companionship and regular contact she now receives.
For us as a family, the service has been invaluable, as we’re not always able to visit every day. Knowing she is being supported gives us real peace of mind. We have no hesitation in increasing the level of support in the future if needed and would confidently recommend the service to others in the local area. We’re also looking forward to encouraging mum to enjoy gentle walks and maybe even a café visit when the weather improves.
